Being a programmer can be a stressful job at times but it can also be extremely interesting and rewarding. If you are considering going in to the profession you have a number of routes in which you can take. You may decide to do a college and / or university course which will give you a great understanding of the different coding languages and how to write code. If you know what language you want to learn you may be able to just do a course in that particular language. This will allow you to really get an in-depth knowledge.

Many programmers are in fact self-taught. There are plenty of video tutorials, books and websites out there and also free online courses that will teach you all you need to know about programming. Sometimes hands on experience is the best so setting yourself up a few test sites and access to a service will allow you to play around and experience with code to ensure that you fully understand it. You may on the other hand, decide to go in to a web agency in a junior role and learn whilst you work. This allows you to earn a salary and train towards becoming an experienced programmer.
