Using video footage in your marketing strategy

Competition to attract new business is high currently so companies are looking for new and innovative ways to promote their business. Video has become a popular feature in many successful advertising campaigns but is it an essential tool for your business and what are the financial implications?

Many companies use television advertising to promote their business, but it is perhaps out of the reach of some smaller companies due to financial restrictions. In recent years with the growing number of social media platforms available to us there is a more cost-effective way of using video to stimulate growth and generate new business.

The type of video that will be most effective will be dependent upon the business you are in. For example, if you are selling a particular product then a demonstration of how that product is used would be worthwhile whereas if you are selling a service, then video customer reviews would be more suitable. In either case the most important thing to remember is that the video needs to capture the prospective client’s interest without becoming monotonous. Many people produce their own videos as a way of reducing costs but for a more professional video it may be better to employ a company to do this for you.
